At the opening at Shanghai World Expo 2010, the Danish had high attention as the famous Little Mermaid from Copenhagen harbour is in the pavilion in original. To fulfil the picture, clean water without typical pool side smell is required. See more at Xinhua news. Or even see a live web-cam from the pool!

This challenge was solved with a complete new way of water treatment being introduced by Ultra Aqua. See the technical project description her at ultra Aqua's WEB, whom have a patent pending on the system.

Hydrotech is a key component in this system as particles has to be removed before they dissolve and form chloramines. In the traditional systems with sand filter or any other deep filters that backwash daily or even weekly, particles are dissolved to the pool water and chloramines are formed in the disinfection process. These chemical processes create the bad smelling and unhealthy gasses we know too well from public pool world wide.

With the Hydrotech microscreening, you remove 90 to 95% of the particles at once and the chemical disinfection process is reduced to a fraction. A new kind of healthy, safe and clean pool water is created.

The Hydrotech filters is installed by the Danish contractor Jysk Svommebads-Teknik A/S that are specialised in swimming pool installations

In the water treatment room under the pavilion is installed 3 x Hydrotech drumfilters type HDF803-1G. This type was developed at Hydrotech in 2009 for service in very corrosive water environments like tropical saltwater or pool water treated with chlorine.
